Joe is a self-taught instrumental guitarist, analog synthesist & bassist who mostly enjoys writing and recording original compositions.
Just messing around with song ideas, tones and recording techniques. The drum track is a BeatBuddy (Funk 7 - swung) but with the Phil Collins-inspired drum set. The Ric bass was recorded through the mixer, as well, but I used the Rick-o-sound stereo output jack to put the neck pickup on the left channel and the treble pickup through an EHX Key 9 pedal set for Tri-glorius chorus, then into the mixer panned right.
I was going to call this "Bluesleeves," but that name was already taken by an old acoustic piece. Anyhow, here is my take on Greensleeves / What Child is this. I got tired of messing with this song, but at least it got me playing enough to get my fingers back into shape. I shot cellphone video of all the recording sessions, so there may be a video at some point. The bluesy part isn't until the last verse.

Just experimenting with an expression controller for my old Zoom B3 Bass Effects pedal. I found a used one at Guitar Center and I must say, it is worth the money. A lot of the patches take on a totally different vibe when this thing is connected. Rickenbacker 4003 bass through a Zoom B3 pedal.
